Now in its fourth year, Mark Hix will host his annual Food Rocks Festival in Lyme Regis on Saturday 3rd and Sunday 4th September 2016. The festival started as a vision of Marks’ to host an event which showcases the very best food, produce and suppliers from Lyme Regis and surrounding areas.

Across the weekend, guests can enjoy cookery demonstrations from the likes of Russell Norman (Polpo), Gill Meller (River Cottage), and Mitch Tonks (The Seahorse) to name a few! There will also be master classes and demonstrations hosted by a selection of local exhibitors. In addion to putting on a jam-packed weekend of foodie fun, Food Rocks also raises money for the RNLI, the Fishermen’s Mission and Blue Marine Foundation (BLUE)– three charities close to Mark’s heart.

Food Rocks also runs alongside Guitars on the Beach, which provides further entertainment for all ages. Guests are welcomed and encouraged to bring along their guitar to attempt the UK record for the most guitarists playing one song together.

The main stage also hosts the ‘HIX Academy cook-off’ which sees students compete against each other using selected seasonal, sustainable and local ingredients.
