Earlier this summer Mark Hix and River Cottage’s Gill Mellor joined forces at Castlewood vineyard to cook up a game feast at their annual wine festival and now they are bringing the experience to the City. Each year the harvest from the boutique vineyard is enjoyed, sampling their latest vintage alongside the deer from their land.
Hosted by Mark, Gill and Castlewood Wine’s Rob Corbett, guests can expect a four course feast of roe deer paired to the sparkling wines grown and produced on this Devonshire vineyard. With plenty of time to chat to the hosts, dairy-farmer-turned-wine-producer Rob will share his love of wine making and Mark and Gill will share their knowledge and experience of game and countryside cooking.
