Mark Hix will again be paying homage to the British love of a classic Indian takeaway at this summer’s Smoked and Uncut festivals. Mark will be working with the team at the Pig Hotel group for the third year running bringing HIX’s Ruby Murray Hut to the festival. This glamorous British festival where you can expect a line-up of handpicked classic and contemporary artists, home-made festi-food, cocktails, English fizz and Pop Up Feasting from Chefs Angela Hartnett and of course, Mark Hix. Intimate home-grown festivals, not too far from home, that are just as much a celebration of food as they are music.
Smoked & Uncut festivals are an open-air party for everyone organised by The Pig and Limewood hotels and we are delighted to be invited along.
Smoked & Uncut 2019 will be set to an eclectic soundtrack, from folk to funk and rock’n’roll to reggae. Irish soul songstress Imelda May will be joining the Brit Award winning Kaiser Chiefs at THE PIG-near Bath. Preceding indie rock band The Vaccines is Samm Henshaw, a British singer, songwriter and record producer who has garnered mainstream radio support from BBC Radio 1 and BBC Radio 1Xtra, and bringing the heritage vibes to Lime Wood, ahead of Sister Sledge, will be legendary reggae band The Wailers, singing all of your favourite Bob Marley classics, plus many more… to see the full main stage line-up head to www.smokedanduncut.com
Combining his passion for British ingredients with the authentic flavours of India; Mark’s ‘HIX Ruby Murray House’ will be dishing up indulgent home-style Indian curry…not forgetting the Naan…topped off with a refreshing Hop House 13 lager or glass of THE PIG Hut wine.
